What kind of sound system and lights would be enough for a dance school?

In a month or two in the school will have a dance at usually hire a DJ who brings the equipment, projectors, lights, speakers, but 40 plays bad music up and nobody wants to hear. So instead of hiring again that he want to take his share of 1200 and to purchase sound equipment and a student dj. This dance most would consist of a lot of electro house music and dubstep, we want a system that will be strong enough to blow the roof off the place and have tons of bass. If 1200 is too low the price of such a system what is the cheapest I think I could handle? We want to save as much money as possible so we can put the rest on the effects and such. If this dance is a success then the school probably will not have more so please give me some advice as much as possible.

Are you looking to buy or rent? If your goal is renting a system that offers a little advice. Hiring a DJ there are many different DJs available, would be more than happy to hear the music you request. That's part of a working DJ. You are hiring so you should play what you request. Note that a DJ has a responsibility to play than most people want to hear. If your student body wants to hear techno or whatever, that requirements contained in the original contract. Do not hesitate to give the DJ a playlist current songs and artists to perform the contract. Most DJs are quite competent at what they do and if they are playing the wrong music, then that is usually the fault of the person (s) who hired him. If the GM has previously used a great sound and lights, all you need do is be sure to tell what kind of music requests from students. And be specific. What some see as a genre that others see as something totally different. By giving the notice sufficiently DJ advance, you can be sure that what is at stake is what you want. Personally, I think you should have a real live band, as opposed to a DJ, but that's just my opinion
